Cull cow prices

I know someone who sends all his heavy cows to pickstocks and he swears by them. But I know everyone's different. But people tell me that p/s seem to be one of the better and bigger outfits around!

Going to stop sending cows to market just getting slatted - absolutely rubbish prices for good AA cull cows. Got a lovely and gentle AA to go and want to get better price that our local mart. As Im in SE Wales Foyles is an option. Dunbia is much further away.

What about merthyr?

Whats P grade? Shes in very good condition. I would assume 600kg?

Is she named sire Angus? I'm sure there is a scheme for named sire cows like there is for clean cattle. Would be worth a few ppk more that way.

Ask either of those two what the deductions are on the old cows

sent 2 plain (very) to pickstocks, , 1 @£1.20 ppk, and the other @ £0.95, both smaller x breds, really pleased with that, 1 we had to hold back till a/b withdrawal, both were not going to 'make it' . sold a big plainer holstien, with a bit of cover, through market, 28.5ppk. taking the p or not ? the 2 were not fit for market, it was either/or nfsco. hol fine @ 558 kg lw, the p/s were 194 dw @ £1.20, and 115 kg d/w @ £0.95.
