The problem isn't so much finding somewhere they want them, but finding an abbatoir which only does pre stun killing. We owe them that.

RSPCA say 84% halal is pre stunned.
Dare say you’d need to ask every processor for a definitive answer though and hope they tell the truth.
Why in this day and age is non stun still allowed?.
Is that a quarter of halal or a quarter of all slaughtering?https://www.bva.co.uk/news-campaign...over-rise-in-animals-killed-without-stunning/
With a link to the FSA results. Nearly a quarter (24.4%) of all sheep and goats are killed without stunning in quarter April-June of this year. This data will be published quarterly. They note non-stun slaughter seems to be rising rapidly.
No matter what you want to think, this is the reality.
Is there really nothing we can do as an industry to insist that stock are stunned regardless of how they are sold?
Although I share the sentiment we must be very careful not to lose a valuable market for our cull ewes. I agree that they should pre stun everything but we need to tread carefully. I understand that a higher % get pre stunned than in the past and if we can keep the pressure on maybe we'll get to 100% eventually. Is there really nothing we can do as an industry to insist that stock are stunned regardless of how they are sold?
