Ive got the sniffles, to busy at work to feel crap and we are lambing!

I need a quick fix

I could ask my grandma and she will give me some crazy old wives tale, like the time I sprained my ankle and she suggested putting a lettuce on it!

I will try anything

Crabbies ginger ale and whisky.

Doesn't cure the cold quicker, but you feel an awful lot better ;):D

I suffer from sinusitis , exacerbated by nasal polyps. I always choke up badly with the cold, in the past often leading to an infection.

I was recommended a salt inhaler. Off fleabay they're between £10 and £20.

Despite being initially skeptical, after ten minutes a day for about three days, the concrete snot in my sinuses started to move!

I puff on it every evening for a few minutes, blowing out through my nose. This is the first winter in years that I've had a clear nose.

I'd strongly recommend a salt inhaler to anyone with catarrh or sinus problems. The effects of breathing through the salt crystals are amazing.

Cider vinegar. Amazing stuff but taste foul. Take a couple of teaspoon fulls in a cup with a spoonful of honey and dilute well and it's then drinkable. Works for more alements than you could ever imagine
