Current market for autumn bulling heifers

Location

Hi folks, just wondering what the market is currently like for autumn bulling heifers. Been told its pretty flat so considering selling my BFx bullers in the store market. Also been told there is a massive glut of in calf spring calving for sale, although I can’t imagine these would affect autumn bulling trade? Thoughts?

Watched some in calf heifers go through Holsworthy yesterday on marteye anywhere from £900-1300 due November/December not enough for what they cost to rear them.At the moment you would be better off with store cattle.

Pedigree herd sale held at Ashbourne today, I only saw the ic heifers and bulling heifers sell, bullers anywhere between £550/800 generally nice things and ic heifers peaked at £2200 for a breeders heifer, close at heifers in the £1200/1800 bracket and anything nov on could be bought at handy money, I bought a nice bunch of 15 at an average of £1065 all in calf to either sexed or AA, spread to calve from November to April.

We have 20 surplus heifers to sell, born Nov / Dec , genus AI sires Holstein and Jersey cross. A nice bunch.
I am now wondering if they might sell as well at Penrith stirk sale as at a dairy one. What are they worth ?
