Cushion to put on tractor seat

Anyone ever made tractor seat more comfortable by adding some type of extra seat cushion.

no, no straw, easier to hang up and let dry out after work. that's what used to happen here anyway with the 2 fordsons.
an arse shaped seat was a very good design feature only thing is arses come in different sizes

If you change the base from springs to an air seat it does help your back significantly. Lowering rear tyre pressure also reduces shocks.

From what I an make out,Grammer make different thickness cushion to replace the original depending on what model it is

We bought a used maximum with an air seat,a wire had broken supplying the pump so the owner had been driving round with a block of firewood keeping it at the right height. Gave it good service all round after discovering that

funnily weve got one thats not pumping and is wedged up atm, must have a look sometime, hope its just as simple a bad wire or connection not sure though. cant beat an air seat .

when the kids were younger i used to give the pump a quick tweak and say oops pardon me

Son was back from uni last week and we both squeezed on for a short trip and the seat started pumping. I told him he'd gone fat from sitting around . " Pot, Kettle" he replied

Yes grammers are hateful seats imo, but the best there is. I bought some upholstery foam and put it on top of cushion then a seat cover on top, makes it a lot more comfy, have in both tractors and a previous ine
