Cutting Compounds ( car polishing)

Why bother unless you are trying to sell it? All this anal car worship is bollox. Just use it to get from A to B, who cares what it looks like?

Do you keep your house clean? Your tractor? Your clothes?

The above logic applies to anything. It’s nice to have pride in things.

I own a car garage so car prep and polishing is a daily for us. If the scratches can be felt on your finger nail, raised and with an edge showing the primer under then polishing wont get rid of it and its a paint job. It may improve it a small amount.
If it is light 'brush marks' then I would ask a local body shop to do a proper machine buff and polish as that will be a more permanent job than doing it by hand generally. Quite often when you do it by hand it seems to go away and you feel chuffed only to see it again a few days later.
We pay a local guy about £100 for a complete car polish on lightly marked cars. The difference is amazing and money well spent
