Dairy complex new concrete floor grooving

Could the TFF collective help please

For grooving new concrete for dairy complex with cubicles / collecting areas, how is the best way to create the grooving please?

We had the builder put lines in across the passage with a long handled float when it was wet (90’ to the direction of travel) much prefer that to the hexagons pressed in with a roller

My opinion is avoid the deep v groove planing style. Very happy with diamond cut straight lines in the direction of travel

Accu-step concrete groover seems to be the in thing. Personally I think the best finish is lay it smooth & get it cut after, but obviously costs way more.

Head costs around £400 now then you need a light weight pole and work the concrete about 15-20 minutes after laying from back to front. Easiest off the bucket of a loadall as that generally equates to a full load at 5" depth (if you follow me)

this seems to be the industry standard here and what most foot trimmers prefer. For us personally we will spend more to get it grooved afterwards. Much cleaner cut than wet grooved.
