We had the builder put lines in across the passage with a long handled float when it was wet (90’ to the direction of travel) much prefer that to the hexagons pressed in with a roller

Head costs around £400 now then you need a light weight pole and work the concrete about 15-20 minutes after laying from back to front. Easiest off the bucket of a loadall as that generally equates to a full load at 5" depth (if you follow me)

this seems to be the industry standard here and what most foot trimmers prefer. For us personally we will spend more to get it grooved afterwards. Much cleaner cut than wet grooved.
