Is this the farm that was bought by the arable farmer from Derbyshire a few years back?

His reign in dairying hasn't lasted too long....

I think location of a dairy farm is vitally important. Personally I would want to be in the thick of healthy milk field. Sorry, but Cornhill on Tweed is the exact opposite. In time, you need to be filling the tanker alone, otherwise one day your buyer may just decide not to call....

But no competition from other dairy producers for silage, wholecrop, straw etc and well away from TB with lots of arable land surrounding as a biosecurity buffer

I organic business with autumn and spring block calving herds. 3 spring block calving conventional herds. well run, well paid/treated staff cows that look very well.businesses with strong business plans and always planning for the future and because of the strong connections/trust between grazing groups all costs were shared.it was a privilege.

Sounds if it was an interesting visit. There are some very good grassland farmers down there.

I think there will be a big mark up from the purchased price , i believe it was bought lock stock and barrel from the previous owners because of one of the three D's that normally have a hand in farm sales
