Where they going to house the staff? One of the biggest barriers to getting staff at the moment is they want a house
Why does everyone want to put 500 + cows on? and with loads of extra staff. 200 cows with family labour, jobs a good un,and enjoy it. Existing cottage for parents, and farmhouse for son/daughter with family,or vice versa. There is bound to be a part time milker in Longtown/Brampton area somewhere if needed.

Because "family labour" can be very difficult and often means no breaks, I agree with the 500+ cow part though, i have no interest in getting that big anyway

Family should cost more than employees

Always nervous when a dairy farm doesnt include the parlour in the particulars? Certainly looks like it will grow grass.

It does state trigon parlour, but no more than that on size etc. Not sure how good they are, cant be many in use.

Good setup that and a nice house, grassy area, wonder if a contract available there?

Very dry, zero grass some years most of it is on silt. Farmer grew lots of maize and grazed turnips everyday of the year.

Yeah trigon parlour think it was 21/27 units can't remember.
