Daughter, business partner...Well what does it mean?
Someone to carry on the business. I don't think any company would get away with specifying father & son outfits only. Could be a mother & daughter for example, doesn't really matter.Well what does it mean?
I assume that sufficient winter accomadation, silage and slurry capacity is available ?, so the only extra costjust thinking up ideas going forward so dont shoot me down but would buying 1 robot, putting off 60 sucklers are replacing them with 60 dairy cattle make sense, they could be grazed round the steading and have access to robot all the time, how much ££ roughly for a robot and can they be resold easy enough if it was decided dairy wasnt working out? @coomoo @Cowmangav @Chapelton @westwards
The gender of the successor was not really my query (albeit I realise that's how my post looked). I just can't see why a milk buyer should be concerned with a suppliers succession plan and query whether it is a fact and if so how do they express it (hopefully better than meSomeone to carry on the business. not including unpaid family labour40k net from 60 cows?
thats a very good pointI looked at that as an option but apart from not having enough milk to cover investment, if it breaks down you’re fecked really at least two one always will be milking.
they would get the accomodation/grazing of the 60 sucklers sold? buying and leasing will prob come to a similar amount repayment wise?I assume that sufficient winter accomadation, silage and slurry capacity is available ?, so the only extra cost
is the standing for the milk tank, robot, electrical supply ?. I assume you have already worked out wether
buying or leasing the robot/ milk tank is best for your circumstances and cash flow ?. At the end of the
day only you can do the sums for your farm, and only you make the decision wether milking will suit
you better than sucklers.
Lely A3's ?Plenty of used lower cost robots coming on the market to do a job like this.
Installed, ready to startup prices from £45,000
Anybody else feel the OP hasn’t got a scobby doo ?
Forget the grant. Does it pay without? If not forget it.a very good question, a grant would make all the difference
