i see Daledrills have posted video of their drill working at Groundswell event. How does those that have seen it working rate it compared to a weaving Gd in green, heavy residue and slightly damp conditions?

Chalk and cheese IMHO.
Other than the flattened CC you'd have a job to see where the Weaving had been.
The Dale on the other hand.......

Different tools for different jobs - both have a place in the right conditions

Liked the look of the front tank rear toolbar dale - paired with a nice light tractor on good rubber it would be the best zerotill drill for late / wet conditions etc so fair choice for blabkgrass growers

@warksfarmer you should take a look at one as it's pretty much exactly what you posted you were after a few months back

What did people think of the Sly angled disc drill?
I like the look of it as a low desturbance drill. One of the hardest to spot where the drilled rows were at Groundswell and when I dug in the rows with a knife to check on placement it was even harder to work out just where a row was. The other drills to some extent compacted the bottom and/or side walls of the slots enough to feel, the Weaving GD in particular, but I couldn't find any of that and took a while to find some seed. Difficult to say how even seed placement was as a result, but I didn't see any left on top.

These Sly drills look quite complicated compared to the weaving or Dale drills so are they a big improvement in terms of penetration and localised compaction?
