Hi folks. I am new to this forum and forums in general. I am looking at purchasing a 1960's David Brown 880 implematic. This tractor has NO loader or no remote hydraulics. I want to add at least remote hydraulics to this tractor and I am wondering what would all be involved in this process. I read somewhere else that the easiest way is to get valves off of another DB (880, 990, 995 etc) but was wondering if there was another way or if anyone has pictures of their setup? I'm just not that familiar with these tractors and their hydraulic systems and can't seem to visualize this that well. Thanks in advance!

Why not, anything can be done.my suggestion would be to fix a 2 Or3 spool hydraulic valve block on the rear of the tractor, and have the levers somewhere convenient using Bowden cables. A double and single acting spool would be handy. If you could find the 3 way valve that connects to the lift cylinder .it would be easier .and the oil return would need to go back in the correct port ,to lubricate the gearbox.
