I need a clutch kit for my db990, can anyone recommend somewhere to get one?
Also is there only one size? A quick google shows there may be an 11” or 12”?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the replies, I’ll have a ring round this morning and see what’s available.
Try. Emmark .... who are direct supplier so you cut out middleman
Most of suppliers are trade only

I have used emmark before but totally forgot about them it was that long ago.

I take it you haven’t got a Sparex/Kramp/Granit etc account? If you haven’t but you’re in the trade then try Barclay Williams for a price
No not got a trade account, could be worth looking at though(y)

A quick look at the online parts catalogue suggests that all of the 9 series had an 11" clutch with the 12" clutch being for the 12 and 14 series.
Barclay Williams will know what you need, have it in stock and get it to you the next day.
There was more than one clutch type fitted to these tractors so Barclay Williams is definitely your best bet
Thanks I’ll give them a call, I’ll probably end up having to split it and have a look, I was trying to get away from having to split it before I get the parts though as it’s running the dryer!

Thanks again guys much appreciated(y)

Its many years since I replaced a clutch in a 990, but it is a fairly simple job as long as it is not a Q cab. The DBTC club forum can be full of advice

i think 990 995/6 had a sleeve on the gearbox input shaft, the input shaft could be separated there, the gearbox cover and pto housing has to come off.its easier and quicker to split the tractor.

So, had a couple of hours spare this afternoon (weathers crap!!) so dragged the old girl into the workshop and started pulling it to bits.

Wasn’t to bad for splitting to be fair

Plates not actually to bad, but for £300 it’s getting a full kit.

Thrust bearing fees ok as well but think there’s on in the kit.
