David brown 995 gear selector gearbox issues

Hi newbie after some help if possible. As I'm now stuck and my tractor appears even more so.

I have david brown 995, it appears to have broken damaged the brass? Selector cup for 1st and reverse gear. Although I've tried to manipulate it out of geR I can't seem to.

So 2 things any ideas on where and how it's stuck so I can't use a piece of rod to move it back n forth?

Other is how do I go about replacing this piece? Is it any easy job as there' are no manuals n from what I can see the whole back end has to be split off top of box off and axle stripped to get the box out. I'm not sure I have the tooling for this as no crane or lifting ability. 🤔
Any ideas how to repair or if n who may have one to sell if I get that far?

Many thanks in advance if anyone can help

See the image below. Is it of any help?? I simply looked on the CNH parts site in the Case part as they have the David Brown responsibility.. Try putting some pictures on here of your problem..

Sorry for delayed response. It appears to be the highlighted part as its been crunching a while. Is worn or broken the arrow side so the ball of the lever is able to go past.

I've tried pulling n pushing the socket back n forth but it appears very stiff and want slide.

Any suggestions?

Cut hole above selector remove top off selector (nothing can drop) four bolts then flick selectors back inline 👍

Hi not sure exactly where you've cut the hole from the pictures sorry. I have the gear selector that selects gears with the 4 bolts? Round casing, I've Removed this and see post above for what's stuck broken As its the brass cup that moves the rod that seems stuck.

Are you saying I need to get to the gear fork to solve this?

Have you got a q cab as this is what @Just because means about cutting a hole in cab floor.
As said before you should be able to move the selector with a tyre lever or similar, make sure you have your clutch pedal down and try moving both selectors either way as I can't remember which is which. If you still can't move it then I think you've got bigger problems and the gearbox will need to come out :(
