I have one of the above and it has stopped measuring rainfall, any suggestions as to why. The hole in the bottom of the rain collector is clear ,and the small measuring buckets are tipping ok(I tipped some water in the rain collector to check).
If any of you have the above Davis weather station, have any of you had the same problem.
I have phoned the supplier twice ,but they have not phoned me back although the receptionist said someone would, nothing new there!!!!!

Could well be the reed switch has packed up, we replaced ours with one from Maplins who are now defunct. You should be able to get one from Amazon.
Check all the connections first but the reed switch is a likely culprit.

Mine stopped working last week, I then noticed that it was not recieving any readings from outside. I put a new battery in the outside unit and all is well at the moment, it may be that the solar panel has packed up though?

As said most likely the little reed switch. That's about the only part of mine that hasnt given bother.
Temp/humidity sensor failed.
Aneometer has failed twice now, luckily got the newer version so the speed sensor bit is not so ££££
I have it mounted at the met office height of 33ft and we are in a exposed spot so it does work hard.
Cattle chewed the antenna on the ISS which caused a major sense of humour failure! :banghead:new one was a tricky soldering job
The solar panel bit on my aneometer transmitter failed too, just ran on battery till I figured it out.
Probably sounds bad but it is over a few years.
