Noise....plus that while the heads were off for the rebuild, my friend who normally spends his time fettling ford pinto race engines took a die grinder and flap wheel to the valve ports and gave her a "little" bit more flow

i tried a straight pipe on it years ago, it sounds more like the engine in a spitfire fighter when it was at full chat...and i couldnt hear that rather soft spreaking woman on radio 4, what ever her name is...
Ford pinto :D
We're these valves opened up when you did the comparison with the 956;)

Since i got the USB stick i havent hardly listened to any radio stations, its nice to just listen to what you want, with nothing annoying in between
I can do iPod,ifone, USB and sd card in mine. well I can in the TMs the Renault has am,fm and a tape deck:( must get that changed.

Although the sound of a 1594 rear diff self destructing would be more soothing than what comes out of whinge and vines mouth.

This is the thing...in race engine circles, the pinto is regarded as an inert, antiquated tractor engine when compared to the cosworth turbo engine

the said pinto, you wouldnt believe what it sits in

a ford anglia!!!!!!

The whole casting that houses the PTO selector, the top link and the hydraulic pump is prone to break away about the ring of bolts that holds it to the diff casting if used or abused hard.

usually the top link / draft control , breaks away when top tink is left on and catches in the tow plate when hydraulics are raised .

it doesnt take much to hook the top link in its holder when your done with it does it :banghead:
Top link holders were rare on Q cabs, don't think they were available for the pre 90 series Sekura cab. The pto guard should keep the top link away from the pick up hitch, I'd assume the slot and reinforced bit of the guard is for resting the top link on

Disguised yes. But you still get the benefit of the ford part;)

And I still think it would have looked better with the curved top.

Curved top wasnt long enough anyway, ive had to add another 4" to it to get it to the height of the original

Wonder if it will last as long as the previous one, 26 years isnt a bad run tbh
