DD and muck

i have today had a contractor in to direct drill some forage crop into burnt off grass fields and want to spread some muck on it I say muck but is very stiff slurry which will be spread with a west type spreader would it be ok or should I have done it before dd

It depends how thin you can spread it imo. If you stick a 2" dollop of shite on top of a seedling, it's not going to come through it. A thin layer of wetter or finer stuff, spread evenly, will probably be OK.
