We have now cut 300 ha DD rape, average around 3.5t/ha. Seedhawk/Claydon drilled. Further 100ha. to go. Very small seeds . How is anyone else doing ?

First 20ha Claydon drilled Cabernet 4t/ha. Camelot & Compass to come tomorrow and likely to yield less. Seed size average to small to date but compass seed looks much bigger. Saying that bushel weights to date ~ 68kg/ha. Whatever the yield, almost certainly thrown too much at it!

I have cut 70 ha of Claydon rape. It smeared a bit putting it in and was a bit purple through the winter. Not sure of yield but more like 2.5 than 3.5 I think. I did my sclerotina spray a bit late. My agronomist then told me to go again a few weeks later but mine had dropped most flowers by then so I sent the chem back. There are quite big patches that are dark in it, it's also quite dry, 7.4 mainly. Is this likely to be sclerotina? Is it normal to do two passes for sclerotina in rape?

no, not normal to go 2x. Now what I hav3e observed and what we see in our trials is that Sclerotina is directly sort of correlated to S usage. Just do a little search at TFF on the topic of S usage on Rape.
