It must rain soon......surely?

I DD’ed some Massif turnips in this evening, just in case. I’ve decided it’s too late for the swedes that were going in there, so onto plan B:

We all love a trier. Think thats the second time in different threads you've been labelled optimistic @neilo!

All that seed is actually planned for several different jobs, on different blocks, but it does allow a degree of last minute adjustment.

I don’t know why folk worry about this three crop rule. I’ve never had a problem myself. I think i’m Up to about 8 this year. :D

We’ve an 11 acre field waiting to be done however it is going to be ploughed as it is too rough to not sort it out now.

So we are just waiting really for some moisture to build a bit then get some sort of forage crop and maybe undersown with an Italian ryegrass.

Yes,I did mention the dirty p word on a DD thread.:)

IT'S RAINING!! [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

Had about 1/4" here too, so spent all day yesterday flinging some fertiliser around. Those turnips I drilled the other night had 750 sets of sheep's feet running around on them yesterday, for some hand's off rolling, and should be peeping through in a few days.:)
More rain forecast for tomorrow, and then looks unsettled again at the end of the week. At least something will be growing, even if the Winter barley is still standing in the field.

Not huge money small seeds, either. Very modest volumes needed and they are are good value.
