Does anyone make a copy one, or have a decent used one laid in the long grass?

Did some repairs to one last week. Pan-Anglia supplied the bearing and the D plates. Can’t remember exact price but I thought they was reasonable on pricing.

Is it agrilinc that used to put a straight plain disc in between the DD to give a new sharp cutting edge?
Quite clever I thought.

Agricast that do those. I think they also do used/2nd hand options too.

Agri-linc used to do a refurbish deal, or just buy the rings and bearings and do them yourself, did our 4.6m unipress a couple of winters ago, a little bit fiddly but not too bad

Am sure there is one in farmers guide in a frame ,
I would consider looking at a double sts roller ,as we all know how sh!t the scrapers are on dd lites .oakfield have a new double one ,
Or put one of weavings v ring rollers on , be less hassle long term for wear ,,
How does simba one fasten on ,as have a brand new kv roller in a frame that came from scutons sale £600

4 bolts each end.
The Xpress is of an age that I would be more than willing to modify it. I am going to have to bush the frame soon anyway.

KV cracker packer? Good on heavy land, wears like hell on light land then bulldozes for fun. Very heavy.

What is this light land you talk of?
Seriously though, I like the DD packer, it fits well on our land.
I would like to try a Guttler but they are serious money.

Aye I like our DD front press. We demoed a gutter front press 20 yrs ago - good on heavy land, just buried itself on lighter going

Actually they are not kv , those packers you talk of are kerner ,made by farmax in netherlands

I've had this one stripped down a few times, one of the studs is sheared on the end caps, and it would probably want a full rebuild.
Might turn it into a winter project, I have 2 so might just limp along till winter.
If I could pick a spare one up that would be a godsend though.
