De leval milking robots

How's everyone finding De leval milking robots? When we've looked at them compared to other models it looks like there are exposed hoses compared to some that look more protected by the arm - do these pipes cause common problems with cows kicking them /with them getting tangled up?

Only had one alarm in 9 months with a tangled pipe. No issues with kicking

3 vms and been going 6 years, not had much of a problem with tangled pipes. Yep they are more exposed to get stood on and kicked off but it pulls them back in, washes it off then puts the cup back on.
Get the odd twisted liner if get stood on but not much else.
Things that bother me with delaval is price of some parts, a wearing part can be bloody expensive compared to a bit of plastic that you think would be expensive because it would take a lot of making. money making really but i'm sure they all do that. Other thing is software, few glitches and niggles and keep fetching updates out.
Looking at your posts @puffy your thinking hard about robots, they all milk cows, they all have good points and bad points but i'd say the main thing to think about is backup and support, they can go wrong at any time so you need that service.

Thanks, that's really good to know. It is annoying when small plastic parts seem to cost a fortune but does seem to be the way with most things. Your comments were really helpful, thank you.
