Just had the notification of the increase in dead stock uplift taking >12mths sheep to £18.5 and the one that sticks in the throat is anything between 1mth and 12mths £15.
I'm sure that ppkg would be fair , I bet that the large incinerator that they eventually end up at will be priced by weight.
What are my options ?
Who is running there own on farm incinerator? Is it cost effective?
I doubt that we will ever be able to return to on farm disposal but personaly don't see what would be wrong with a properly licensed scheme that would prevent the risk of disease transfer between farms from the present system that sees a wagon travel from coast to coast picking up on route.
Is it time to bite the bullet and take this into our own hands?
What are others having to pay?
Are there any groups / neighbours working together ?
Anyone know what the cost of a incinerator that would take a sheep/ cow?
Fed up being dictated to as there is only one option in my area at present
PM if preferred
