Dead wild animal - what next if anything?

If a fox or any other wild animal dies of natural causes on your land....is there anything to say whether you have a legal obligation to do or not to do anything?

Are there any circumstances where this is different?

I’ve always kennelled in multiples any fighters don’t get a second chance if you can keep 20 couple hounds together no worries why can’t you keep 2 or 3 terriers or lurchers together boring life for a kennel dog alone

some bugger dumped a dead sheep in one of ours fields, someone reported that to trading standards, those ##########'s wanted to prosecute me. It was off lying ground, we had had no stock there for months, so no reason to even visit. Dead, on your land, your problem, you didn't deal with it, we want to do you.
Told them to f off, and talk to l/lord, and slammed the door shut, and rung l/lord, and warned him, he told them my problem, not his, they then said, they had over stepped there allotted time, what a load of shite.

A couple of years ago my sister had a deer die in one of her fields next to a back road popular with walkers. First she knew about it was when the local council got in contact with her telling her to dispose of it as they had been receiving complaint(s) from walker(s) re the smell.
I went to investigate and found the smell (stink) in the lane and also found the deer in the field the other side of the hedge near the smell. She had to get the local knacker man in to collect it and take it away at her cost.

I`d have told the council that removing the deer would interfere with the eco system and it would , they cant have it both ways.

we had some fecker up stream from us cutting tags out of dead sheep's ears and chucking them in the beck every time it rained abit , they would wash up on our land when we had no sheep there so like you didn't bother checking for weeks , only knew when the bloody fishermen would complain to the environment agency .
