Much clearer thank you

Only my interpretation, but that's how I guess it's going to happen.

It does seem a bit strange though I'll admit....most dealerships are rationalising not creating. Perhaps they will run a more reduced overhead dealership structure for the "new" Kubota business.

There also seems a slight contradiction in that they state Kubota want to focus on Agriculture yet LW currently is more focussed on Construction/Groundcare. I guess they don't want the distraction of AGCO brands and Kubota probably weren't too happy about that holding back their growth.

There is more with Kubota than sticking with Agco who are top heavy with people

Interesting times, but Listers already have a full line Kubota depot in Kent, it is obviously working ok for them you’d think!
And if you read the letter, it states that over half their staff work on that side of the business, so they will add Kubota Ag (which have a comparable market share to Fendt) therefore increasing business for them...I think it all seems to have been implemented in a very professional manner.
Fair play to them!

Off Ancroft Tractors and Ancroft Tractors Keep fendt and add Valtra to there line up , just goes to show the manufacturer is only interested in profit and do not care about there customer's or the dealership's that have done a very good job over the years
Always been the way….sadly

When I heard this today I said what we need is a agricultural superstore, 1 big shed/workshop with all the dealers in 1 place then you take your pick, rather than choosing your brand on local dealer for it to be changed 6months after you bought it 🙄

You've got to feel sorry for the single branch small dealers who have put their all into going above and beyond for their local loyal customers, it's just seems the big corporation's don't want this anymore' it seems to be 'go big' or we'll pull the plug on you
It started decades ago with Caterpillar, then Deere, then AGCO and CNH. The bigger the brand, the more clout they have and the deeper they want to dig their hooks into dealers. That being the case, it makes it much easier for them to control dealers by getting them into debt with them by amalgamating and having far fewer to manage. 'Manage' is the thing they want. Corporate image and arrogance, their arrogance and wish to control without their own financial commitment is everything to them rather than the things independent dealers and their customers might prioritise. They, the corporations, want to run the shooting match while private owners do the investing and stocking, taking all of the financial risks.

On the other hand the brand managers do have a responsibility to their employers to ensure that their dealers perform and move metal to keep their factories running. Of course they do. If that means selective culling now and again, so be it. No dealer is too big and they should always be aware of who is the ultimate boss and has control of the franchise. The bigger a dealer gets, the more control the mothership has and the greater the consequences for the owners if they lose the franchise. No pressure then! :greedy:

All so there is a story doing the rounds that a very big ex John Deere dealership in the north has bought out a orange and green tractor dealer that all so is in the grass machinery in a big way
