How did your gp respond to your visit, did you find the Samaritans of any help, have you perhaps found support from a fellow farmer and without major details you can still make the difference to someone's day,

My prayer for today..........

Dear God: So far today, I'm doing ok and I haven't lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, or selfish.

I have not whined, whinged, bitched, broken a promise, eaten any chocolate, or drunk any alcohol.

However; I'm going to get out of bed in a moment and will need a lot more help!

Amen :)
Its the 13th, safer in bed

Sunshine! What a great tonic. Eases the problems for a few hours. I need to start biking again. Nothings going right atm and all I do is antagonise everyone, I'm sure it shouldn't be this difficult growing a bit of food, but spring is coming.

You're right about the sunshine, we had some yesterday and it was lovely :)

As for antagonising everyone, if they choose to react grumpily then maybe they need to take a look at their own lives instead of taking their frustrations out on other people

Marsh farmer,

when you say that nothing is going right at the moment; give us a clue. I'm not asking for details of a highly personal nature on an open thread but am wondering what farming troubles may be arising.

Do you actually farm marsh land or am I just being silly?

Sorry, I haven't replied sooner, not so bad atm thanks. I was worried I had spoiled a long term friendship with someone at the time, but it seems better now. Business has been going badly for a while, but that's just farming in general, and I'm lacking any real direction, I was pretty worried about a tb test, nothing to the worries some on here have tho, but we are over that now. But I'm a real yo-yo and it's not so easy when it's not that busy this time of year.
I have some marshes on the edge of the broads that I graze and make hay on, it's a lovely place to be in high summer.
Lovely sun again today, it really helps. From one christopher to another, do well as we say around here.

I'm sure the lack of sunshine is having a large effect on people's mood and well being
Sat afternoon here was sunny and my mood was much more positive and upbeat
Are scandanavian people prone to suffer depression in winter due to lack of daylight as the drama series from those countries always seem dark and depressing ?
There again I'm sure there must be depressed people in sunny places like California as well

Good to hear from you m8; I was starting to become rather concerned for your well being.

Some years ago, me and the Mrs used to travel down to Hemsby and spend a week or two in an old holiday chalet that belonged to a friend. Wouldn't be over keen on spending winter down there; the place is so flat and that chilly winter wind fair cuts through one. Never met that big phantom dog that sposed to roam those areas though!

Do they still have those blooming big rats down there? Coypu?

Bob,

the German film industry is also prone to producing some very dark movies. Perhaps it has something to do with the history of the Nordic countries. Maybe some depressions have nothing to do with environmental factors and are a learned response.

Oooh not far away, took many a spud down beach road years ago, did you eat at Bevans restaurant ? One camp is derelict now. No coypu, before my time, but I can't believe they caught them all.
