Death of LED Floodlights

Hi, I have a couple of LED flood lights on the outside of one of my sheds and they have died, the lights just glow faintly like thier not getting power although I doubt this as everything else on the circuit works, my question is is this the way LEDs go when knackered.
TIA.

The lights are 2 to 3 years old and mid range price wise so not really looking for guarantee, just thought that LED were meant to last longer, I have had longer out of halogen flood lights.

If they're a larger higher watted type(40w+)
I tend to open them up and replace parts.

If the power supply has output it's a failed chip.
If it doesn't, replace the power supply.
Last power supply I got was £14 delivered.

I think I got a pair of 50w chips delivered for about £6

We’ve got luxum here as well. From 30-150w and their led batons. Excellent quality. The lights are so much heavier and stronger than your typical led light fittings!

What led batons are using as there seems to be around 3/4 types on their webpage and where are you using them?

I’ve a new shed up and wondering what to use for lighting. Just wondering if those battons are bright enough. I have a shed which got refitted 18 months ago with 48w Ansell led battons (£35) and they give off over 6000lm but the luxum battons 60w give off around 5500lm At £75.

I think there are a lot of suppliers out there using market places like Amazon, who are passing off the cheapest rubbish as being reasonable quality, knowing full well, in 18 months when they fail the company will be long gone. Or you are just dealing with a chinese company who will demand you return the failed bulb etc for replacement with another s**t one.
They can send goods her for a tenth the cost of the return so they know you never will claim.
Sadly even the big name brands are often sending out rubbish too

It’s usually about heat management. Getting rid of the heat is the big issue as I think that’s what kills them. The more expensive ones probably use more efficient led and have much better heat sinking for longevity.

The lights I use, have the 48v power supplies separate to the lights, in control room of poultry sheds, keeping heat away from the actual lamps, and power supplies can be renewed easily.
