My dry cow pen needs new cubicle mats I was just wondering if they would be ok on deep bed sawdust like sand but sawdust?
Can’t do sand as all slurry goes to a channel.

I remember seeing a chart showing the bacteria growth in different bedding when damp , pretty sure sawdust is one of the worst.
Also surprising given it's popularity at the time gypsum was also one of the worst despite in it's pure form supposedly was inert.
Both of the above faired little better than FYM !
The only thing that works consistantly for high yielding cows in deep beds would be sand IMHO
