We get at least two or three 'not right' every year and always have, even long before schmallenberg was invented.

...........but you do live in Wales, so are you surprised !?!
Even in England? That's got hydrocephalus and none of the joint abnormalities consistent with SBV. We've always seen such lambs and calves sporadically.
I was joking.Everywhere. There are different degrees of it and some are not compatible with life.
Had one here this morning from a hoggett, back legs twisted, front legs wrong way round and no bottom jaw, poor divil was mad alive, only one wev had this year out of 1400 lambingMalformed jaws are just one of those things I think, used to see a couple out of 500 ewes every year before Shmallenberg came on the scene. Some of them were alive but couldn't suckle so had to be disposed of. Not seen a confirmed case of Shmallenberg but I've heard the leg joints can be backwards? I'd say that one is just one of those random freaks.
What way do people despatch these poor we sods? I've only got a shot gun but would prefer a different method if possible
