Defra approved disinfectant

Can’t remember the name of the stuff we’ve got now, allways used sorgene 5 for donkeys years, always thought it was regarded as the best but hasn’t been approved for a few years now.
Anyone know why it lost its approval?

Failed my fa inspection yesterday because my disinfectant was an approved defra one :cautious:
Can someone recommend one and the cheapest place to buy one please

Get a tub of Virkon S. Iff tff’s not too pricey, on every recc list, has a long shelf life (unless you actually use it of course) and comes in a distinctive yellow container that stands out to any inspector.?

Plenty of suppliers on eBay/Amazon.

We had a rooflight blow off on storm Dennis and failed three days later until it was replaced and photos sent. Next rooflight along looked remarkably similar?.

It's rubbish.

Any disinfectant should be fine for your basic bio-security needs, you could then buy what is best / approved for any specific problem arising as they regularly change.
I believe there are 'fees' involved with being on Defra's approved list and the manufacturer's seem to take turns. Obviously those previously on the list are still just as effective but the piper hasn't been paid.

I think you'll find Virkon s isn't approved for TB so you need to buy LSP.
