Richard Western:
We are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer, its essential to have a formal qualification in engineering.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience working in a ‘Yellow’ goods environment (Trucks or trailers) with knowledge of chassis design being a deciding factor in the selection process. Permanent role.

Job Specification:
  • Design for manufacture (Mechanical/ Electrical)
  • HSE compliance
  • An understanding of chassis design within a yellow goods environment (Trucks or trailers)
  • HND/ Degree
  • Future requirements will be involvement with robotic welding systems
  • Customer focused (Internal/ External)
  • Competent in the use of 'Autodesk' inventor, able to transfer from solid works
  • Good verbal communication skills and self-motivated
  • To be able to build rapport with Teams, Leadership skills important
  • Drive improvement, 'minimise' waste, 'maximise' productivity (Lean)
Desirable:
  • Familiar with DFMEA methods for establishing and reducing risks
  • Knowledge of new product development is an advantage
