moving my sheep pens as there dropping in bits and in a bad spot now as time has gone by, ive put a google earth pic up and showed how i use them i run them in down tracks which i can shut gates behind then into last pen and then into a race marked with pink hashing, i can also shed either side off the race shown buy yellow lines as gates. i fill smaller pens in red and back down race for auction to fill trailer. it works ok but ive a big clear space where i wanna move them wondered if anyone had any swish ideas! will use first 2 ig holding areas then prob across into new area around white arrow.

biggest lot i have in is sheep and lambs but usually do that over 2 days as 2 lots so normally around 275 sheep max, if i really pack em in i can fit them all in 3 small red squares to south, west and north of race (pink hashing)

I've not long designed and installed my own handling system. My advice is don't over complicate it.
Try and keep the sheep running in the same direction they did before.
Are you looking to put a foot bath area in? And are you wanting to use the same race for shedding, dosing and weighing only reason I ask is I installed a double race side by side with an area in the middle for me to stand and is works fantastic one race is for shedding the other for everything else.

Sounds interesting, i just wheel scales up as required not static,

foot bath i have large rubber sheets on narrower race which go into top of bath to make it a v shape as required again i dont keep it there all time only when they need doing, been lucky only needed to bath lambs once inn last 3 years.
now i think of it i use the race for any purpose as required, i have a moveable gate and taper gate to make a section narrower as required.

Any chance you can sketch what you have made would really help.

to be fair it helps visualising it even on the map to work out how you want the sheep to flow.

Here you are this was before it was all concreted out. I did put a large stand in foot bath in to hold 20+ewes but just in the process of installing a full hydropic stand in bath as ewes weren't to keen on walking into it .
