Design me the perfect cultivator

I've never got this right.

My criteria are:

Must be 4m min and pulled by 265hp.
Minimal moving parts & bearings
Must have reasonably priced tungsten wearing metal.
Needs to be able to work hilly heavy land to say 8 inches max, with both lift and mix.
Must also be able to work shallow and quick for a full surface weed kill in an organic scenario.
Must leave it level.
Must leave it firm enough to drill into without pressing.
Must be able to cope with flints.
And obviously must be very reasonably priced!!

3 or 4 rows of strong tines with a range of feet options followed by a packer followed by harrows?

All ideas welcome!

Bloody hell you don’t want much do you . From experience the only machine that can do all of those things is a Topdown but for the deeper work you will need more hp or a narrower machine.

Simba top tilth comes to mind four rowes of tines two packet rollers but for deep work remove the blade at the front

I've got millions of them but they don't help kill organic weeds unfortunately. Wish they did

Also, despite very healthy populations, some cultivatious is a big risk reducer on undrained clay.

Good shout, but very busy with lots of legs and trash flow is poor. Wouldn't fancy putting one into August stubble without a bullet proof back window and a plentiful supply of spare tines!

That machine will cope with more trash than anything else around.
and will get you a seed bed in August when every other machine just skids along the top.

Amazone Cenius? Gregoire Discordon? Amazone Centaur? Look in sales and online for second hand ones as these sort of came and went out of fashion as they were a bit hefty and had a lot of iron and diesel associated with them so you might be able to pick up a bargain. Used trailed Sumo?

How do you get a toptilth to get that deep in a min-till situation? I only ever worked them behind the plough?

If you have flints then you need tines and should avoid discs largely IMO.

Unless you have kind land I would reckon you might need more than 265hp to work that deep.

Pottinger synkro,this one is 6m,wasn't a lot of £££ but used,but it need a bit of tlc.

This think will have 300hp on its knees but I've also pulled it with 190hp,it was steady going tho,different wing options...either on or off, makes a tidy job,I just use it for sugar beet ground.
