Pretty dry here, farm is looking great though, our wheat needs rain more than anything. Grass is fine just now.

I'm slow to wish for rain though, a couple of wet weeks would have a lot of folks moaning that they could do without rain for 6 months.

Things can change fast. We've all seen it, even if many don't remember.

No, im not going about stating "drought, what drought??", Compared to what the likes of @Farmer Roy are experiencing currently we are hardly in a drought at all but for this area of the country we are in serious need of rain. The last 12 months have been incredibly dry. However I fully realise that places such as the SW, W and perhaps N of the UK are probably in ideal conditons. I watched all of last weeks bit of rain( might have been 2 weeks ago) travel up the west of the country giving everyone a good rain and then returning to sunshine so ideal condtions as you say. Over here we missed the lot no matter which way it came across the country!
