deutz 5 series isobus problem

ok just tried it, i only have AC hz on my multimeter, with PTO it jumped around alot, it was around 30hz at 540rpm, but it was consistent the higher the pto the higher the hz

the wheel speed not as consistent, but did register some numbers, again jumped around alot

maybe i need to find a multimeter with DC

when you say 6 pulses per rev, that means 540rpmx6 = 3240hz? 6rpm per pulse would be 90hz.

Another test: Raise and lower the rear linkage, attach the multimeter (DC volts) between pins 5 and 8 on the DSUB. You should see voltage vary between 0 and 10v

5 - ground, 0v (top row, far left)
8 - linkage position (bottom row, one from far left)

ok i see, i will see about another multimeter and report back, mine maybe isnt cutting it
It's good to see you're getting an output though for speed and PTO. I wouldn't worry too much about it jumping about it's probably just the way your multimeter is triggering off the signal.

The best setting (depending on your meter) is DC+AC - this is to measure a DC offset signal. Then hit the frequency count.

i have had it in the past where those ISO 11786 signal plugs aren't populated with all signals and even power
That would be a real kick to the balls, no readings from CAN and none from the signal socket!

However it sounds like he is getting a wheel speed and PTO speed reading (even though he can't measure it reliably yet). Hopefully he can get link position too - and that's all he'll get into the Mueller terminal by the look of what signals Port B has available.

Doesn't solve his original problem, but gets him going somewhat.

Yup but a lot of tractors only populate the 2 speed signals as the others aren't used that often.

I imagine you would need to create a virtual TECU in the Muller terminal to interpret the incoming signal from the 7 pin DIN socket. I.e. Calibrate impulses/100m

hi, not yet, case is still ongoing

anyone know if the aef-online.org check tool can show dates when something was certified?
