Deutz 6 cylinder engine from early 2000

Has anyone had any experience of Deutz Engine BF6M1012E ?
Basically on one injector, the bolts worked loose and fell out, so the engine was running rough - they put the new bolts back in but when the engine was restarted it went straight to flat out with no control over the revs!
Any suggestions what has happened - its in an industrial forklift manufactured in 2002.

Fuel rack is stuck flat out, take the stop solenoid out and see if it moves freely, has it done any damage to the engine? They can run and blow up in the same breath

I don't think the engine is damaged - but what has the injector coming loose got anything to do with the Rack being jammed one way? I've had nothing to do with Deutz Engines so all new to me - at this age if everything cable or rod controlled?
Thanks

Iirc they have shims on the injector and that is how they dictate power output, so if its came free tge shims will have fell out and mean shes effectively screwed out fully on that 1 injector just pumping the diesel in flat out, your lucky she didnt run off on you and go out with a bang

Was it the actual injector that came loose or the injection pump for that cylinder? The pump is set with shims and is located into the rack. Sounds more like it was the pump that was loose and it’s been put back against the rack as opposed to the peg lined up with the slot.

there is a rail or rack down right hand side of tractor engine (yours is forklift) which is linked to each injectors pump. the rack moves when accelerator or hand throttle moved. we had a problem with one sticking so sounds very familiar.
