Seems the dealer and the brand has let you down

I smell a big rat here,smashing doors usually down to operator.Brakes failing on new tractor usually down to poor trailer brakes,just saying….

Saw a door on a brand new Deutz smash just by closing it normally - and it was the dealer doing the closing!

The auto command is largely very reliable

sadly occasionally you do come across one that has been abused and is starting to self destruct. Then the farmer chops it in without saying anything and the dealer innocently sells it on without realising he’s been sold a pup and had his leg lifted.

Luckily for the new owner the dealer is the responsible type, takes it on the chin and refunds the customer once it becomes clear what’s what.

David Jones ( Out at Withybush ) sold them during the late 1970's, finished, and left a pile of tractors in Pembs, D6806's etc with no backup. OJ Williams took over for a while, same thing happened, and now this.

Old Square Tractors sold them during the 80's, JE Rees had them for a while before Phillips Bros.

We have a Deutz telehandler, most reliable bit of kit we have ever owned, always starts on the key, other than a couple of new hydraulic pipes and battery and services nothing else spent on it in 9000hoours.

I have seen windscreens and doors drop out of a multitude of vehicles over the years. Seen a windscreen drop out of a 2 day old Fendt overnight. It comes down to how the glass cools and what stress it gets in that process at the manufacturer

Luckily a full rebuild is relatively cheap.

I must have the only deutz 118 in the country
Its 05 reg, i got it in 07, as it was all i could find at the time.
Its now done over 10000 hrs and hardly had a spanner on it.
But it is a frustrating thing to drive
