So why have his Kleber done the same hours and lasted better? It’s obvious loader work is harder on tyres but what I’m getting at is the Pirelli’s have been outperformed by Kleber, it really is that simple (y)
Both done the same amount of loader work? Those fronts look like they have lived on concrete a fair bit. Just need to compare like with like is what I am saying.

Yea, they have both done around the same hours, doing the same amount of loader work (give or take a few hours either way). The Kleber have been on around 2800 hours or so and they are at around 30/40% on the front and maybe 50-60% on the back. It would be different if I was comparing a loader tractor to non loader tractor but it’s tyres on the same tractor doing the same work

When you post an opinion that is at odds with all other posts, all other experience, and crucially all practical evidence, you really shouldn't wonder why your post is disparaged. A few will suffer fools, but less so gladly. It's not personal on an internet forum. It would be in a pub for example.

@The highway I'd recon you've chosen the best value tyres with bkt. NS agri will sort out anything else you need done on the tractor, and if you let him, he'll improve it!

Ah, now if it’s not personal on an Internet forum why the remarks about age? To me that's personal. I’ve refrained from remarks about how you look, instead I’ve focused on putting my experience across, which you don’t seem to like :scratchhead:

I bought a 2008 M600 with 2700 hours on in March last year, it came with a Trima P5.0 loader which I removed. Bought a Steinbauer box for about £1000 including on/off remote Fob. Installed it with the help of a mechanic friend. Which took about 2 hours and was a relatively simple. No idea if it improves performance as I’ve only turned it on once while carting grain from Forfar tonCouoar Angus and it was doing just fine without it on, so never noticed any difference. Would like to get the M+ software. I use contractors for most farm work so the plan is the Deutz will just be used for carting off and general stuff, it’s done about 250 hours since I got it, hopefully it’ll “see me oot”. Mechanically it’s in excellent condition, no leaks etc. They only thing I want to fix is the bonnet has got a few dents so trying to figure out if I should try and find a used one or have a local body shop fix it. After a few hiccups to start I’ve gotten to really like the machine. I’m new to farming so nothing to compare it against, but it works away well.

Some before and after photos. Think we have thrown just under 5k at it, that’s including: steering wheel ram, full filter kit, oils, 4wd solenoid, dashboard wiring sort, blacksmith welds on mudguards cab mounts and latches for doors, tyres, mechanics hours and stereo. The tractors ECU has been read for a remap and should be finished the remap this week. Very comfortable tractor. Spread muck for a day with it as ‘standard’ with a 12t muck cart and coped ok. I think we’ve got a very good tractor which we’ve got home for about 25k. So far so good anyway, was purring away on a the 5 furrow at weekend. Only fault so far is the button for the lift, very pernickety. Other than not being 50k which we might change yer, we are very happy. Could do with a front linkage too?!

@The highway, How did you solve your "Tractor-controller not connected" problem? My Lamborghini R6 190 shows this message and the transmission or electronic lifting won't work....

Can you post what the error is on the screen please?

My eyes aren't good enough to see it in your youtube thingy

I've a workshop and owners manual for a 6180 ttv. Deutz engineers are fairly sensible, so codes will likely enough be the same

Thanks for your interest in helping me. This is the only message I get "Tractor-controller not connected".
I checked all fuses, I've disconnected and connected back most of the accessible harness, including the transmission ECU and tractor ECU.
-Tractor starts
-it won't engage transmission
-electronic lift doesn't work

It all works correctly now?

I could not sleep until knowing why the fuse burst 😭
Yes. I have some problems with my front working lights, they get very hot and they burn their fuse but somehow affect other fuses as well. Glad it's only that, I was starting to get a bit scared because I didn't saw it in the first place and I thought my ECU si bad.

Replace some or all of the worklights with LEDs before you burn out the fuse box/circuit board and/or set your cab on fire.
On those Deutz, it's not IF there will be a fire, it's WHEN! The wiring just isn't thick enough for the power required by the "millions" of 65 watt halogen H9 bulbs Deutz put on them

A far less expensive option is to replace the halogen H9 bulbs in the worklamps with the latest type of LED "bulbs". They produce a much brighter white light for less current. Theres also now versions with heat sinks, not cooling fans, and these don't create any radio or CB interference

The "Sycreek" branded ones that I put on my 6180ttv cost £15 each, not much more than a standard halogen H9. When there's 16 worklights on a six series deutz, fitting led bulbs is significantly cheaper than bespoke worklamps!

I’ve got a fastrac with similar problems. I think I will give that a go. I presume they are available on line?

Much as I dislike giving Geoff Bezos money, I bought them through Amazon

Found his vat number, so they were actually £12.50 each once the tax was reclaimed

Make sure the bulbs have heat sinks not older generation cooling fans, and check the wattage. Some quote it per bulb, some for a pair. Be careful of the ones that claim huge lumen brightness; they're either rubbish, or higher wattage than a halogen!

Also check the dimensions. Some of them are much bigger than a standard halogen bulb, and won't fit into the worklamp. Fan cooled ones from definitely won't fit, and will cause radio interference

I'd investigated led bulb replacements about 7 years ago, and they were awful! Not much light output, beam scattered everywhere, and no radio reception if they were on. These new generation heat sink ones are not as bright as a replacement lamp unit from, for example, utv products, but they're significantly better than halogen, and a fraction of the price

Thank you. I will do some searching. I might have to buy them there and get someone to bring them over as at first glance they looked a lot dearer here. I will try Amazon first, I have similar view to you but sometimes needs must.
