Been driving our 5120c most of the day and can't seem to get the handbrake to release, didn't realise it was on so drove about 30meters and it stalled, currently blocking the road

Handbrake been sticking and probably knackered the plates too. There is modified handbrake linkage, which is greaseable.

Does it have the same system as a k120, ours has a shaft across just in front of the lift rockshaft that just needs greasing from time to time

If it’s just stuck on get under and knock the lever back and grease it. If it’s not working correctly after this drain trans oil take plate off on bottom of trans you can see handbrake set up if it’s just the pads that are Burt out you are lucky and can change them with out any major problem in from the bottom. But if the plates are Burt it’s a cab of and split I am afraid.

Sdf are very proactive in sorting this issue out.

Quite a simple fix but it only took them 2 yrs to modify the linkage

Gentle tap and it released, seems ok and their going to see about the updated parts
