Deutz TTV Opinions

Hi, we're currently looking at buying another deutz. We run a150.7 and an X720 and now we're looking at something 180hp to 200hp.

Ideally a 180.7 or M650 if one could be found but we've come across the odd TTV 630 for sale but we don't know much about the deutz vario's as they're not common around us.

It'll be for mainly silage trailer and slurry tanker work and with FL/PTO so it can be a back up for mowing.

Any opinions on TTV 630's would be greatly appreciated or the where abouts of 180.7 or M650 with 5k hours for sale would also be great!

I posted tgis in thr wrong section last night [emoji21] Thanks in advance!

The TTV 630 is a great tractor with lots of power. I wish I found one last year! The TTV gear box is smooth and very responsive and good on fuel. Like all vario's if your not used to it, setting it up is a learning curve but the imoniter is user friendly I find.

Friend of mine had one he drove for a contractor which was 9k plus when they sold it. It had work done on the gearbox under warranty but didn't have to touch it again. The other thing they had problems with was another driver drove it with duals on down a banked single track road with a 4m combi drill on the back. Not 100% sure what the damage was but I know tractor and drill was not going for a while.

Ahright, any chance you know what the warranty work was? I did hear of a problem they had with an 'O' ring that would go in the gearbox.

That sounds about right. It's was something most/all had done I think. I will ask him though to double check.

I run 3 Deutz one being a TTV 430 which is obviously a baby in comparison to a 630. But it has made want to move everything thing to TTV gearbox. Although I through a spanner in the works as I bought a Case last year due to not being able to find a TTV 630/7250 in time. OK tractor but I will be aiming for Deutz TTV next time!

So a +1 for the TTV gearbox then [emoji106]

Is there any way to check a vario for wear or problems if viewing one?

Is there a second hand market for one with 10k+ hours do you know? I'm just thinking of the future for selling again.

Yes that's my opinion anyway.

Not sure of a precise way but the feel of it gives you a good idea. If it's jurky that tends to make my think.

Export! To be honest a lot of the trade guys will sell them straight to export as there is a high demand for them on the continent and east. I have missed many a tractor from an overseas buying just ringing up and buying it, unlike my who wants have a good look. That's why if I'm in the market now I don't hang around going to have a look.
