Dexter limousin cross

I’ve just purchased a short legged dexter in a fit of madness!! I’m going to put her to my limousin bull (1000kgs) we never had to pull a calf in the 5 years I’ve had him will the dexter be ok to calf from him?

We had a lm bull break in and cover a Dexter. Had vet on standby for ceasarian but she calved naturally no problem

they seem able to handle most bulls but weight while doing act may be problem i have a few to saler and not had a problem yet

Put her in with some older bull calves, they’ll sort it out

I have a heifer out of a dexter cow by our simmi bull.best beef ever.Have used the limmi and MRI on them but never on the short legged ones

We have three dexters that go to a limmy every year. Haven't had to pull any yet. Bigger problem is the bigger cows bully them in the shed.

Done the other way around... Used to have a long legged Dexter bull who covered a few commercial sucklers nicely, but he was as big as a trad AA.

Never had the nerve to go the other way around... I actually have a med leg Dex cow here at the moment and wondering about letting our Hex bull cover her, as a Dex bull is rare again..

No, they are nothing to admire, but one of their calves made £810 @ 315kg today. Pretty chuffed with that.
