Gung ho.....I'll have you know I've never lost a single bale!!!!!!
I did loose a whole trailer once though, the drawbar bloody soon subsoilered across some old boys tarmac drive way.......luckily I had a chain with me in the loader so I could extract it hook on and feck off in a hurry🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i remember in my youger day going down a freshly tarmaced drive with a tractor and the loader stand dropped down and acted like a plough, was going a bit quick and took a while to stop.🙈

The problem I had was that the drawbar engaged with the ground at the point where lawn joined tarmac, if it had been a yard further along it would have skiided along the top.
It was in there a foot, looked like openreach laying fibre optic in a bad day😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

oh god 'magnet shaming' :bag: :bag: ......can i blame brexit cos everyone else does?😗

fallen by the wayside a bit.....had monday semi off but did go to naam later for some oil/bits/pieces.....didn't realise but the claas dealership has gone:oops::oops:.....TNS (massey dealer) also been a bit shrewd relocating from local village to one of their old car dealerships....i expect they can sell the village site for development....bit sad though i can remember it being oliver riches/cowies and many happy trips getting bits for our standen single row beet harvester:(

got the coastal sheep home today....they've gone back a bit due to grass running low but hey/ho at least i've the 'hooves' plus barley and hay/straw in the barn to turn them around:).....did a stupid thing and pulled my side taking livestock trailer off:banghead:......i'm very 'male' when it comes to pain😗

cinders off school and poorly with cold.....wouldn't be surprised if i'm going down with it:rolleyes:

will crack on with magnets for @robbie [email protected] @i'mlost :)...last call if anyone else wants one:)

The Sculthorpe depot has been through so many name changes I had just been calling it Sculthorpe to avoid making a mistake, but cannot do than any more.
As well as Riches and Cowies, it has been Oliver Rix, Boston Tractors, Norfolk Farm Machinery, Randell NFM, now TNS. Last week spares were still arriving at Sculthorpe so I had to hang around waiting for someone to bring them to Fakenham.

not been well....tired...achy...side strain....today was the first day i got out of bed before i needed to.....the last few days i've felt bad and only been doing bare minimum plus other little bits/pieces.....working on theory some progress better than none  .....been going to bed 8pm and sleeping thru:rolleyes:

had to give up on neddys rubble...he'd given me the impression it was urgent but builders unfazed...'come when you like' sorta thing:)

got out today....errands and bills:rolleyes: ...dead lamb to fallen stock guy....he can't get kero for his incinerator:rolleyes:......bank...was empty:oops:.......saw agronomist at depot...paid bill ....he asked if we had any fuel out our way...i replied 'no...but they're queing at local morrisons'.....called in and paid for the straw...farmer in good form and up for some banter:love:....his daughter runs an equestrian centre and cinders will be going there weekly soon cos strawbs wants her to join pony club:love:....last stop our local garage which has 'boxed clever' by restricting sales to account holders...nhs/care workers/emergency services(y)

really pleased cinders joining pony club:love:

getting bit stressed about catching up on sheep work though...still got lambs to wean:bag:

Only worry if the lambs are entire, spin. Ewes will have mostly weaned by now, wouldn't they?

tup lambs taken out while back to stalag....now housed .....finished sun morning (y)

saturday was odd jobs and hiding from shitty weather....got sprayer put away.....don't know if i'll need it again this year......depends if i plant some wheat i suppose:scratchhead:

monday was sorting the sheep we got back from the coastal grazing....mostly our remaining 'fluff heads'....put a pink stripe on them cos probably already in lamb and turned them out into main flock.....they promptly trotted round and back to the yard and spent day eating stacked straw  ......also got ready for home'n dry treating some barley and tinkered with hms sheep cycle

bit dull as dishwater really:bag:

tuesday didn't pan out as i expected....the forecast was filthy and was planning an 'officy/skivy' day 😗 .....but rain blew over and sun came out:)

K and i were able to sort some lambs out so now all the ram lambs are in 3 dedicated pens(y).....with some ewe/wether lambs that had been mixed in ready to out on fresh pasture tommoz(y)

first thing though we had to deal with a disgruntled 'deputation' ...the ex 'coastal' ewes....all carrying the mark of possible 'incestuous shame' who objected to being expected to rejoin main flock:rolleyes:
P1040891.JPG

they insisted on running around the yard so ,in the end, we shut them in top part of hms sheep cycle whilst we sorted lambs .....just remembered i've forgotten to let them out again:banghead:

went thru 'lambing records' this afternoon....compiling a list of cull/keeps....only trouble is there are about 45 not recorded😗:banghead:....mrs spin not happy with my 'laissez faire' methods😁

finally...a treat:)....who doesn't love a photo of a 'fluffhead' misbehaving:love:
