Possibly @robbie feels the only area he has more "skills" than you is small bale stacking. Perhaps it time for a Turkish face off!

All looks a lot more organised than you would.ever have us believe! I suppose authors are allowed artistic licence now and again.
Don't be fooled. That was a carefully choreographed one off, split second photo..... If he'd have followed it up with another pic 30 seconds later the race would have been empty and all you'd see is the last Sheeps bum vanishing through the hedge on the right!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

WELL....i'm gonna let you 'in' on a little secret;)....something i've discovered:)...i wasn't gonna say cos..well,,,it's a bit of a 'trade secret'🤫.....but i've found....sheep are not a lot of work if they stay in the right field:oops:

tuesday

bloomin gander went for fd today...i had to intervene and he went for me:oops:....bit early to start getting feisty:oops:......the geese divide their time between pulling straw bales to bits....the yards muddy puddle ...trying to eat the fat lambs food .....and ,if they get bored. a trip to the garden and the bird table:rolleyes:

sorted the 'stalag' ewes out today....our 'category A' snot......22 to keep and 5 culls.....should be 21 and 6 but i spared 'humpy' the wiltshire horn cos she's an old fave :bag:

took 12 lambs to abattoir after lunch...two interesting snippets....1/ lairage chaps not allowed to go on trailers now cos there was an accident somewhere when a tailgate fell killing someone:oops: ..2/ i enquired about pigs...sounds like they can process them but can't sell them:(

in other news the 'waterboard' ,who farm by contract, have had their beet to the south of me lifted....i'm relieved cos they next to my rather poor neeps.....my lot given the choice twixt 2nd grade neeps and 1st grade beet tops....i think we all know how that'dve gone:rolleyes:

Re: tailboard. It was a real tragic accident.
A lorry on farm had a fault with the tailboard/lifting decks, I think it was to do with the hydraulics. The farmer pushed the tailboards shut with a loadall so the lorry could go and get it fixed.
The repair was done and the lorry went out to the next job, the driver got out to drop the tailboard to be able to back onto the ramp but because the tailboard had been lifted by the loadall and not under its own steam the rams were empty of oil and so had no resistance. Once the locks were released there was nothing to stop the whole lot coming down.
Such a tragedy and all very sad.
