just woke up  .....came in shattered...had tea....went up to change and flaked out.......house was quiet cos cinders + mrs spin wrapping presents for a neighbour.....had a weird dream:rolleyes:.....probably won't get back to sleep now :banghead:

it'd been a busy day.....2 hours mopping floors first up as i try to straighten up admirals quarters

usual sheepy chores

took lambs in to abattoir that shoulda gone last week......on the way out a guy queing in a silver discovery gave a big friendly smile.....don't think i know him :scratchhead:...i have a bandanna mask so looked pretty 'dangerous' perhaps he's heard about my 'gangster connections'😁

on the radio driving home they were talking to a gp about the coming vaccination drive....her practice doubling up from 1000/day .....got me thinking how many we sheepy ppl could do with a sterimatic😁......it musta filtered into my 'weird dream'.....i'd gone up to our local vaccination centre....K had come with me and i'd taken two sterimatic guns....the vaccine only came in 25 dose bottles so K was going to switch bottles/needles/caps etc to keep me going......anyway after about an hour a gp comes over and hails K 'we're getting complaints from some of the more frail patients about the blob of purple spray mark you're putting on the back of their necks'....K is shocked/crestfallen....i'm mid vaccination but call out 'it's ok i told her to do it'.....vaccination done i pause....gesture to the gp to come closer and whisper 'once the withdrawl is up you want rid of those' :bag:
Perhaps spinney you could have a word with the management at the market and see if they'll set up a few cull pens. Just think how much more room there'd be in care homes and the like!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I could fill a few pens the first sale of two,!!!!😂

bitta slow routine day....my imagination wanders 😗 ...us 'sheepy folk' could be of great use to the nhs....obsetrics for one......the only danger i suppose that, nearing a tiring shifts end, we revert to 'type' ...imagine the scene.....a family enter the room and are shocked to see the new mum ,confused and scared, penned up in the corner.....an infant being dangled having it's navel iodined and the words 'she'll be right with you....just gotta be sure she's finished and check the milk'

Quite agree 👍
They do seem to faff about a bit when you compare them with 'how we go on' 😱
Mind you, I had my booster jab on Saturday and, listening to the wireless today, it appears the NHS did 500,000 jabs that day, so IMHO, they're doing a pretty good job .....

.... and if we were in charge the whole mindset would have to change - can't think the general public would easily get their heads round the fact that during the course of a lambing season, say, we wouldn't be too concerned about having a dead patient or two along the way 😱

I had a similar idea when they first started vaccinating but my wife, a trained nurse, says the NHS wouldn't accept using the same needle for multiple recipients. I was so confused, I didn't even try and cost my proposals using single use needles.
so taking a slight burr off a needle on a brick is a 'no no' i assume 😗 :scratchhead:

Makes arable look very calming!
two words 'red tractor';)😁

OK....wednesday.....covid booster day for admiral and i(y).....booked two together for practicality at local centre for 10:30 am;)

laid in a bit and grade sheet popped up on emails...in truth i've been opening them in trepidation....so far we've been 'o' and 'r' mainly but also managed a 'splitter':bag: which we put in our freezer and a 'p2'....i remember a few years ago getting £88 for an 'e' grade and being pleased but coincidently thats what the 'p2' made:)......anyhoo 2x r...3x u....and 3x e:oops:.....not had that many 'e's since school😁

admiral and i had quick drive round the ewes and left rest to K......admiral commented it was a 'rare december day' as the sun beat down:love:

off to vaccination centre and was greeted by an outside que :banghead:......sat the admiral on a bench and i waited til it was our turn to get in then she ushered up to where i was and we went thru the process together....in all about 45 mins so not to bad:)...quite a lot of time taken checking our details ..one question...'are you a carer?'......'i care for animals' said the admiral:love:....'i look after that' i quip pointing at admiral which qualifies me apparently:scratchhead:...on the way home the admiral chirps up 'i do appreciate what you do you know' bless:love:....she'd looked after her mother and she was horrible to her so i guess i'm lucky:)

one last thing though:scratchhead:.....after being vaccinated the nurse checked we wern't bleeding....then asked me to crane my neck forward and gave me this:scratchhead::oops:
