however girls grumpy.....mrs spin says 'i wind them up'.....moi:oops:
I get that a lot from my clan (all girls...) maybe i’m Just a naturally grumpy bugger - but it’s the little things that wind me up and the it’s world war 3 in our house....

Now, Spin my boy, have you considered a bit of generating your own electric?

Either solar panels ( I know there is an expense - but with the amount of roof space you will have on barns it might prove worthwhile - also what about an effluents digester from holiday let, plus livestock and of course your Bhuna and code panther exploits?

Just sayin’😉

I was trying to do chop a bigger favour by offering to bale for him so he could keep his sanity....and his hair by not buying the bloody thing!!!!
You've done me a favour today, apparently.....🙄
Our favourite "snack loving haulier" has told me that the "breckland biscuit bandit" has excelled himself with food today and I have high standards to live up to now 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The breckland biscuit bandit has diversified into malting barley so his biscuit tin can be refilled more often...........

wednesday....

diary entry for 'gentlemen farmer jim':).....one had spent the night in one's holiday let as those trouble some anglian water oiks were digging up the road in the village making the 'commute' 5 miles rather than 0.8:oops:
one overslept somewhat and did not surface until 8:30 am:oops:...adjorning to the exec boardroom for the customary coffee and rollie i was teased by that dreadful fellow the peacock and laughed at by strawbs for still being in one's 'mufti'
eventually started😗.... the chores were done and with things getting more organised one turned his attention to a barn containing 'various types of snot'....collected and confined in desperation it was time to consider parole.....8 store lambs to start with......separated ....combined with 6 small lambs from a fat pen and a load to fil's grass(y)

lunch....

diary for 'hapless ejit sheep muddler'.......put some fodder beet on the trailer.....but tractor wouldn't start.....TBF the starter motor repair that nev 'rolled his eyes at' has lasted 3 years...but now requires further fettle :scratchhead:...or replacement😭....i'm struggling/swearing.....admiral trundles up.... a store lamb is out over at fil's:banghead:..........in desperation i remove tractor battery cos i know it's full.....go over.....small beltex type snot from this morning:banghead:.......secure...few fence adjustments.....fresh battery

epilogue....when will i ever learn :banghead:......introducing elite snot to a previously well behaved field of lambs😭......bodging repairs:rolleyes:

tea didn't go to well either:rolleyes:

in a lighter moment....my snot ewes have 'detached' themselves from the flock and live around the yard/horse paddocks......here they are on their mid afternoon saunter......just leaving the garden having checked the bird table.....but unsure whether right (fodder beet heap + squat in barn) OR left......a swifty graze on some horse paddocks before 'he' tries to feed fattening lambs and pilfering opportunities:love:

good grade sheet from tuesdays lambs(y)....made a start repairing potholes in lane(y).....was supposed to go and see mrs spin's luvvy show that night but covoid ravaged the cast and it was cancelled:(.....mrs spin ok though so we all went out for a meal instead:love:

admirals hot water bottle had leaked during the night so had to sort that out......chores.....got forklift out and prepped a water ibc for filling for strawbs..... m/o is i put it on hi lift trailer take down field....lift trailer and decant.......leave ibc filling up with strawbs keeping an eye whilst i head off to naam for errands....get back about noon.....ibc full ready to be lifted on trailer.....i have an early lunch:)

apres i go to get the forklift....but key's not in the ignition where i thought i'd left it.....check pockets....indoors....exec boardroom....zilch...it's lost:banghead:

the great forklift key saga:rolleyes:.....back int day i bought my jcb s/h from yomb....it only had one setta keys so i just ordered some jcb keys and put aside.....one day i mislaid the key so went to my spares ..only to find they didn't fit:scratchhead:.....fortunately boy ,who was on gap year, found mislaid keys in a sheep pen:oops:.....relieved i went into yomb to see about a spare.....ms took one look and said 'that looks like an old john deere key'....disappeared off and returned with one that sure enough worked and became the spare(y).....fast forward to christmas and set one mislaid:rolleyes:.....so on spare set used until friday when they went awol to :banghead:.....afternoon trip to nearest jd dealers....3650 keys:scratchhead: bought....back home fail :banghead:.....on top of that admiral complaining 'i don't feel well'.....but when questioned 'mental or physical' i get reply 'i don't know'....friday night i was cross with myself for being such a muddler and felt retched:(

saturday...one of my only attributes is i do 'dust myself down and go again' but feck saturday was 'trench warfare'......first up admiral said she didn't feel well enough to get up but offering no real explanation ....i leave her to it and pop over to fil's...check store lambs and pinch key from his old scraper tractor ...jd1030;).......back home that key doesn't work but combination of K and i get admiral going(y)......back to forklift....time to take dash off.....cept it's either rivetted or screws badly corroded :scratchhead::banghead:.....in frustration 'dr makitta' has to come out and i cut just enough dash out to draw out ignition.....naam (again).....new ignition and i get her started.....though i can't ,as yet figure how i'm gonna tidy it up:rolleyes:.....anyhoo strawbs gets her water...plus she needs hay......last thing i decide to put loada horse muck on trailer just to give forklift longer run.....do that but notice muck cart rear tractor tyre bit flat:scratchhead:.....compressor....take dust cap off....air pisses out:banghead:.....valve won't tighten:banghead:.....rob another valve and pump up:rolleyes:......peacock hails me.... city 2-1 up:oops::love:

get done...get home...sit down to start typing and power cut:banghead:.....worse mrs spin cooking roast for tea and 'nevs' coming round cos it's nev's b'day on monday and it's a bit of a tradition:love:........anyhoo mrs spin and HH transfer cooking to holiday let that has gas.....power comes back on and ,eventually, we all sit down to a nice meal and evening:love:
