thursday/friday.....'chaos theory'

thursday

So  ....i thought i'd bought 30 gateposts ...but when i unloaded i had 34:scratchhead:........the lots were in 2-4s so thought little about it til phone goes.....vendor 'how many posts have you got?'....i come clean....not that it was my fault as when i went to collect the vendor pointed to some lots that wern't mine and gestured saying 'the rest are your's'...he even helped me load:rolleyes:.......he's gonna collect 4(n)

resta day...was...you guessed it...still clearing out lambing shed......the bloomin afternoon's seem to 'melt away

accounts arrive in post to review and sign....but no tax return:scratchhead:.....nils desperandum looks like our tax bill is gonna be £1000 LESS than i thought:love:

friday

admiral off to slow start....i do yard chores and start bills.....she gets going and we ride around the sheep:)........back indoors i finish bills then have a conversation with accountant who sounds a bit puzzled with my queries:scratchhead:...anyhoo admiral and i sign the accounts and i take them up to holt....then onto naam to pay bills....drop in a map at agronomists for soil sampling.....and get a 'makeover; at the turks.....BUT i'm getting a bit frazzed by now plus i'm desperate to get back to that feckin lambing shed as i'm keen to avoid fessing up on here that i still not done :bag:........i completely forget about the 'turk' and drive home:banghead:

OK....so i arrive back in yard....get out to move the hurdles that separate that from rear yards ( the one yorkie pranked😁 )....only to see the whole mob of ewes traipse past.....they've a new 'game'.....from southern grazing field down driftway....past grain store....into bottom yard....out gate....onto stubble turnip ground....from there onto northern grazing field....and back onto southern grass:rolleyes:......three times they did it today:rolleyes:.....anyhoo whilst waiting for them to pass i check post box and there's accountant letter no2 ...tax returns to sign:banghead:

quick lunch....finally i get to lambing shed mucking out and finish🥳......bitta nag fettlin....chores.....home:)

phone message from accountant....thank you for signed accounts but where are the signed tax returns?.....explain they arrived different days and we rarely get post before noon cos we're posties last stop:rolleyes:

and breathe👌

Sadly, IME, the accountant's bill will usually turn out to be £999 MORE than you thought :banghead::banghead:

Panic not, Spin - that's just par for the course on all sheep farms.

Yesterday was our 147th day from lowsin' the tups but the beggars started coming last Sunday - been 'running to standstill' with 'pen erection' since then
Just about caught up now :X3:
