diary of a comedy sheep farm

.....you lot bin talking in my absence  .....is this what monsieur le brittan means by 'quality content':scratchhead:.....perhaps it's hot weather/hols creating a 'silly season'😁

admiral not to good again today......it's as if she's determined not to take an interest in anything but her depression.....today i made her sit in a chair and switched radio norfolk on.....went back an hour later and she was back in bed having switched radio off:banghead:

anyhoo i got up at 3:30am and did a double run into mart so thats all the hoggs gone(y)......i was there before cheerful mart chap today at 5;45am.....mart was open...an uninterested chap in office suggested i drop them in a pen and go.....actually some one else had done just that....i waited and 'cmc' wasn't long and i was away:).....second run i encountered the vegans and had some friendly 'banter'....they didn't rate 'batman' and requested i go back to the sombrero and bring some pina coladas....whatever they are:scratchhead:.....bizarre how a little humour can bridge a divide:oops:.......went home via mcs for some fence posts + lambing bits/pieces.....forgot but should probably have had another prolapse harness just in case:rolleyes:......my mind drifted back to mart and the vegans.....are we missing a trick?.....i mean in all these days of 'assurance' we ,.who use norwich mart, are having our stock checked by the harshest critics of all....i mean surely this could be used in our marketing?.......Vegan Approved Meat Producer....'VAMP' for short😁

i got back to farm at 10:30am.....the admiral had panicked and called poor K in to feed sheep:rolleyes:.......granville had delivered groceries including another 'clutch' of easter eggs......admiral had bought ten in total:rolleyes:....poor old HH can't even eat chocolate:rolleyes:...i spend resta morning fettlin sheep....returning easter eggs and failing to help load a stubborn horse that strawbs is swapping:rolleyes:......talking of which she's had her leg/ankle pinned but can't put any wt on for 6 weeks:rolleyes:

poor old city give it a good go but lose but i'm still 'chipper' cos bank statement better than hoped:)
Absolutely quality content. You wait, when you use this thread to write your memoirs you will be amazed how much of our quality content you slip in. I reckon we will help you to your first million book sales 😂. You will be a best seller like that Barbra Cartland 😂.
Sorry about Admiral. Hope this wave passes quickly.

Burnham market.
Burnham market how frightfully posh!!!!
We went to Burnham overly the other year and I've never felt so out of place in my home county, it was full of posh snoby pretentious w⚓ers.

It was quite amusing listening to the perents and kids crabbing off the key.
It was all yaaaarrrrr, super, darling and the kids names were ace Hugo, Rupert, alexaaaaander!!!🤣🤣🤣 And oh yar, how wonderful darlin but please don't touch the crab, after all, how yucky he's been in the water, where's Jeeves, one doesn't want to touch that it looks so common!?🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄🙄🙄🙄

The old boy on the taxi boat was ace thought a proper old norfolk boy.😍

You never know who you meet though robbie
had a very glamourous indian woman stop to look at tulips , and had a bit of craic with her and her friend ,

turns out her and daughter run a management company , involved with some of the famous pop stars , £££££££££££££££££££ She was telling me who they look after , 😳😳😳
a very ordinary sort of woman who knew her roots and had done well , the donation she has given ,was 👌

never heard the supposed term 'lollipop' :scratchhead: .....gonna use it though......describes my working practice😁

sunday

got up early...all quiet in lambing shed....apart for another minor prolapse:rolleyes:.....sorted that but thats 1 in 25 which is pretty bad....3 'victims are within 10 tag numbers so i guess it was a badly retained batch of ewe lambs one year:rolleyes:
no K so fettled admiral .domestic chores ....fed ewes who also needed hay then did 120m of fencing before lunch....big roast lunch at in laws then felt awful....retiring early:rolleyes:

monday

at farm at 6am....premature twins...one dead one alive.....colostrum + spectam cos he was tiny.....rated his chances 50/50 but tonight he'd had a suckle and got up and had a good shake(y)

went fencing for a coupla hours then turned faint....back at the yard fortunately K was in and i could leave her to it and retire home.....slept rest of morning......sit down afternoon apart from chores

felt better tonight so to appease WHR spent an hour dismantling old bathroom then last check round

reckon today is day 140 after our 'official tupping date' so whether i'm thru 'suicide fortnight' or got 4 days to go :scratchhead:
