I'll let you know when I'm finished!
The sledge was playing up something chronicNice looking flat 8 attachment .
Our neighbour has a field of beans he will be cutting any day now, we are tight on straw and hay for our sucklers, is it worth asking him to bale it for us ? No experience of pea or bean haulm.
What are you going to do with it spin?!?View attachment 900546

We used to have a sledge that did that - we used to get a lot of Flat 7'sThe sledge was playing up something chronic
You might have let the poor lass drive the tractor while you wandered around in the sweltering heatMy wife offered to help
Must be for the special flavour of ice cream that Mrs Spin is planning...What are you going to do with it spin?!?
What are you going to do with it spin?!?
Why not buy hay? Rucks of the stuff about?feed it to the sheep hopefully

You should have dropped the sledge off. Spin wouldnt have minded chasing around a field collecting single bales, it would make a welcome change from chasing around north norfolk catching sheep!!!!!The sledge, generally is pretty good.
The pea halum bales don't flow through it very well, grip the sides so to speak. Plus no stubble to talk of doesn't help flow either.
Did the first 3rd of the field with lots of swearing. Nipped in for a bite of tea and the good lady and kids offered to help.
She saved me getting on and off 27 times with the last bit

boy is coming home to help clear logs in house garden so i hitch log splitter and find i can tow our old harford trailer behind it....i'd been using it for an ibc bowser but quick swap for pallet stand and some new ply chucked on cos floor bit 'distressed' and jobs a goodun
next up is put the hay away in the barn the rambs/orphans are currently squatting in.....K feeds on field...i get hurdles.....just then loada straw turns up....i leave K to secure then nip off to unload....dumping bales in yard to get him gone......returning to the hay...K hasn't tied the hurdles up properly.....they're flat and fred the pet wether c/w the newly arrived lamb are trotting up the drive
i put some hay away but admiral summons me for phone call viz straw.....apparently round here not much barley has malted.....back outside mrs peacock says she's gonna ride her horse.....NOW both her and the horse are nervous so rather than take the forklift back to the hay i busy myself in bottom yard putting straw in polytunnel......bit of a faff but there.....anyhoo i get as far as i can without going near stables and she's still not gone.....hot bothered i go indoors...drink eat and flake out......waking up i toddle outside to finish......nobody about....but percy the teaser ram is sitting proudly on top of flattened hurdles near the hay store....fred + lamb back off up drive
as usual i get there in the end......curry + log splitting when it gets cool
Tell me about it! The call themselves experts normally but have no idea about how to treat a horse then witter on about why it won’t do what they thought it would and ‘‘tis always something or someone other than them who caused it. They have no fuvking idea! They are the same everywhere. Shouldn’t be allowed near the bloody things. A proper horseman would never have had their problems otherwise the world would have starved to death centuries ago. f**kunf people really wind me up and we have some in the family which makes it worse! I don’t normally swear btw ‘tis just the horsey types that bring it out in me................ amongst a few other groups lolFull on day there my friend!
Nervous horse riders! Why?? Why?? God they wind me up!
They come here for lessons because Mrs Clodhopper is a Para Olympion and think we use ' black magic' on our horses because there so quiet! !
Mrs Clodhopper works her horses hard each day to the point that she's exhausted, these 'flakes' perspire more by fretting and finding excuses than they do by riding!
The 'black magic' is ride your BL..DY HORSE!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhh! Rant over
I hear your pain brother!Tell me about it!
