diary of a comedy sheep farm

"The junker Deere" or "old junker" are affectionate names we call our Deere John combine.

Go you steady spin, 15 bales an hour. you'll be showing the rest of us up!!!!!!!
He was really doing 19.765 bales an hour , but average was 15 , as baccy baling brought average down 📏.
think spin has been looking at the oooh thread when thinking of how much band to put on Bsles , g strings on the mind after one of his hybrid Rollies
Good job he has not got a 50 k tractor when he comes back from lime kiln with Bsles , turn up in yard and just a little clump of band on trailer and all straw blown out of it 🤦‍♂️
or is it typical stock Msn , cut string toll bale out
Be less to cut out of muck spreader 🤣

I know of a chap who bought brand new special order baler with string on as he just chucks them through his straw spreader with string on and gas axes it out later 😳

If spinneys baler twine bales wear indeed g strings they'd be revealing to say the least. Perhaps he'll run the baler up the road from lime kiln to re bale what blows off in the road......he thinks he's got s bigger yield that way!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

I doubt you will miss it. I’m not looking forward to it much.
All environmental options getting ploughed out after the end of the year into late wheat or spring barley. Couldn't make it stack up with higher cereal prices, static mid tier payment levels, loss of bps and high rents. Big loss to the environment mainly due to DEFRA not raising payment levels to realistic levels. Won't miss the constant threat of an inspection, and wondering when we will be paid.

i worry that elms is not going to be much use and my understanding is you can switch anyway if you choose at a later date......on the grapevine i heard my old agronomist is looking for crop walking having lost 4000 acs to new stewardship options:oops:

@robbie and @Will 1594......shame on you teasing a 'poor old god fearing peasant' on the sabbath🤫.......but who 'tipped' you off about my 'muckspreader' ??????

writers block  ...what a feckin time to get it:banghead:......top of the latest likey table and can't take full advantage:banghead:......i've resorted to using pictures and re posting yellys 'downfall parody' but i can only do that for so long:scratchhead:...think spin think:scratchhead:

i suppose it's a victory for us 'hapless ejeets' though (y) ...i mean i remember it being topped by some dd'er drooling over 'dutch openers'....the there was that lad ahead of me through talking about vaccum silage ffs:rolleyes:....at last some recognition for 'pure art'?:scratchhead:😗

anyhoo tuesday was very wet and i was very tired so bare minimum done😗

today i cleared the little ramshackle barns on the grazing marsh....twas a bit wet for forklift.....put oh deere , hay mower and 16 bales of hay in one..... it's a pole barn and one o the poles was rotten....previously i'd put a stake in then today i screwed a piece of scaffold board between them ...it looked ok til i hit it with teleporter:banghead: ....gotta repair it again😭

whole day was a bit like that TBH.....getting on but niggly little things:rolleyes:........little window behind seat on cs went,,,,exhaust on smeg needs replacing ...it's still 'functional' but only just.....all the drawbar pins i could find were to big for holes they needed to fill (not something i've ever encountered😁)....then last thing door lock went on cs:rolleyes:

anyhoo can't dawdle....mrs spin not here so my chance to clear the mantlepiece a bit;)
