Happy New Year to you all let’s hope for a worthwhile 2022!
covid hits 'spin towers'
When I read that, I just assumed the long suffering Mrs Spin had finally had enough of your excessive consumption of Toffee Vodka (or whatever concoction it is you have a thirst for).........last night i was om the sofa....now tonight she (mrs spin) has kicked me out ......... i'm in the holiday let
Looking forward to you keeping us posted with the resultsmrs nev suggested a solution that's been passed around here caring colleagues....'stick one finger from your left hand in your mouth and another finger from your right up your 'bottom' .....count to thirty then swap fingers around......if you can't taste any difference you're covid positive'
Bon courage family Spinsunday
last night i was om the sofa....now tonight she (mrs spin) has kicked me out .....and no it's not the naff horsey jumper which ,it turns out, is proving quite practical as hay/horse hair etc doesn't stick to it....anyhoo i'm in the holiday let
day started normally with routine chores ...the twin i've been supplementing has perked up a lot .....bale of hay for strawbs was last job then popped home before setting off to mole cs in dereham for some bits.....mrs spin made me change my fleece as it had mud on and sprayed some cologne on me.....'what are you doing?' i exclaim 'you know mcs is like an agricultural babe station...i'll never get out alive'
actually i did get out.....treated myself to a big mac meal.....spilt mayo om my new top and deduced that .on country b roads, 36mph was the max safe speed to drive whilst consuming a maccy d....some of you may want to write that down before next years quiz
back at the farm mrs spin was parked outside the holiday barn.....anyhoo i was hailed by mrs peacock...'one a your rams don't look to good'...i investigate....it's puppydog who only went out to sweep up on new years eve.....he's up....walking but sullen...i take the raddle off but no rub marks....only thing i can think is that mcnabs has re written the 'pecking order'.....the 'pups' getting on in years now....8 yrs old
afternoon chores done...not much TBH....i wander over to holiday let and see bag of my stuff and mrs spin having a quick clean...'you're in here for now'
covid hits 'spin towers'
late yesterday poor HH ,not feeling well. tested positive on a lateral flow....mrs spin took her for a pcr today and she's in her room.....then after lunch today mrs spin and boy took tests....mrs spin negative....boy positive .......fortunately both mrs spin and i are booster + 14 days so don't need to isolate....at least i hope not.....so mrs spin decided we better split our forces with her holding the fort there and me on the farm.....the other problem is we've only 5 lateral flows left (after i tested negative).......mrs nev suggested a solution that's been passed around here caring colleagues....'stick one finger from your left hand in your mouth and another finger from your right up your 'bottom' .....count to thirty then swap fingers around......if you can't taste any difference you're covid positive'
Hope you all keep well, Covid hit here yesterday too although farm and house are all ring fenced so I'll keep going as normal and just tell any walkers etc to f**k off.sunday

I should add, for clarity, that in Scotland we're not really allowed to tell walkers where to go unfortunately!Hope you all keep well, Covid hit here yesterday too although farm and house are all ring fenced so I'll keep going as normal and just tell any walkers etc to f**k off.

Not too bad so far, just like a bad cold. Triple vaxed since before Christmas and hardly been out since then ....Hope it's only mild for you, Afton.

Hard to know, wee Nicky has definitely been more decisive than Boris with bringing in restrictions but numbers don't seem any better.worrying thing is that the vaccines seem to mitigate not stop the virus......and if protection is only going to last 5 months we're going to be in this 'loop' sometime......thats without the possibility of a variant emerging resistant to vaccines which lets face it is likely given the numbers and spread
joe public doesn't understand disease outbreaks like we do and 'powers that be' don't seem to wanna educate them
To be fair it was probably the stay in Suffolk that caused his demise!!!!monday pt1....bit bored so you'll have to 'grin and bear it'
K came in and we 'socially distanced' the predicament...in the end we decided to work apart and she stay outdoors
my main job o the day was to move our 'second string' lamb weigher and kit from bale to fil's about 4 miles away.....i took smeg c/w with rear loader and attached the flat trailer i got from charlie.....that way i was able to lift the weigher on........the whole outfit looked a bitta 'charabanc' ....but worked....i set up the hurdles/weigher but the catching pen will have to be done tommoz
in other news.....puppydog has passed.....now need to be sad though cos he had a good life....good servant....and at least K will be safe as he'd gone after her coupla times last year........he was born 2014 on @exmoordave place.....spent a yr in suffolk ( which TBF is long enough) with @JP1 before arriving here in 2016

It's a known fact that even a brief visit of anymore than a day can be detrimental to one's health.
Norfolk is much safer!!!!!!!

My mother was born and bred in Suffolk going back many generationsTo be fair it was probably the stay in Suffolk that caused his demise!!!!
