Did Seed dressings kill slug eating Beetles?

I am old enough to remember 15 years of farming before OSR, didnt need slug pellets then... if there were such things?
was that before the power Harrow
when we tyned rolled and disced we did not use slug pellets wheat rape barley rotation
once we got a power Harrow had todo a lot more rolling and pressing to ensure establishment

September drilling much less slug issue than mid October

I posted this elsewhere but some land I took on, basically farmed continuous organic spring barley before I had it. Farmed for 5 years by myself and had 1 insecticide in that time. This year mid October drilled WB following fallow sprayed off in June and then ploughed in Sep is being hammered by slugs. I was late identifying problem and since then been impossible to get near the field. No osr either.
